Warehouse conversions are popular in Chungcheong because rent is manageable and power is available. They are also dusty. After three commissioning visits where intake filters clogged within ten days, we wrote this reference.
MERV Rating Matters
We specify MERV 11 or higher on intake panels for bays with concrete cutting nearby. Lower ratings pass fine dust that coats hash board heatsinks. Higher ratings restrict airflow — balance against your fan curve.
Replacement Cadence
| Environment | Check Interval | Replace When |
|---|---|---|
| Clean office conversion | Monthly | Visible gray coating |
| Active warehouse with vehicle traffic | Weekly | Pressure drop or 30% surface coverage |
| Agricultural storage nearby | Weekly | Pollen season: every 5–7 days |
Signs You Waited Too Long
Rising intake temperature with unchanged ambient room temp is the first signal. Hash rate drops follow within days. Fan RPM climbing without corresponding cooling means the motor is compensating for restricted flow.
What We Install on Commissioning
We leave a laminated schedule on the rack and photograph the filter orientation. Operators who follow the schedule rarely call us for thermal emergencies.
Stock two spare filters per four units. They cost little compared to a throttled weekend.
